DESCRIPTION

Mount San Jacinto Continuation High School is an alternative continuation school, serving approximately 350 students. Enrollment is voluntary and open-entry/open-exit. As students become credit deficient at the high school, they are brought before a district panel to determine whether or not placement at the continuation school is appropriate. The purpose of the school is for students to make up credits quickly so that they can graduate and get a diploma or return to their home high school to graduate. The small size of the school is meant to provide an atmosphere in which students who are at-risk can connect with staff. Establishing relationships between students and staff is a way to make sure that students are successful in school.

MISSION STATEMENT

We welcome students to support them in meeting their academic goals of a certificate or diploma and to help them become better community members.

2009 SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE

Mount San Jacinto High School has been designated as a California School of Excellence by the California Continuation Education Association (CCEA) in partnership with the California Department of Education (CDE).
